He looks so grown up! We start tomorrow. The World Series is still in full swing here. I may be calling for advice on this football stuff till Race gets home. Our guys won't be practicing in pads for a while, yet. Should I buy a practice jersey? What about shorts? DO you use his baseball cleats? And wouldn't it make you sad if your dad played football in college on a full ride scholarship, and on you first day of practice you were going to be left with your clueless mom?? Have pity.

You can call me any time. Yes, on the practice jersey, yes on shorts (they should eventually give them practice pants but our guys wore shorts the first week of practice) make the shorts athletic shorts, no jeans or khakis. No, on the baseball cleats (this is expensive, isn't it) the cleats don't have to be expensive cleats but Blake really likes the Nike football cleats he has this year, last year he complained the whole year and they were Reeboks. Good luck on practice, it has been so hot here but those little kids keep chugging along. I will email you my phone number. Glad to have you back.

He looks like it's hot there. I do not envy football players at this time of year, doesn't really matter where you live...it's HOT! Thanks for the picture!

Wow, he looks hot and slightly disgusted that you're taking his picture. :-)

Rebel,
Yeah, he wasn't very happy that I was taking his picture and he was definitely hot.

LOL. Yep, it's hot. It's durned hot. ;-)

Soon... soon we will have our thermos of hot chocolate, and knitted caps, and team-colored scarves! And sweaters, which makes me whiny to even think about right now.

Yep. It's hot.
